When I made the decision to move to Tennessee ... I researched the best places to work in the state.
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee was at the top of the list ... so I aimed to work for the best company in the state.
In 2009 I was a certified web developer ... before I even entered college I applied and interviewed at BCBST ... I didn’t get the job.
I went to college and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Applied Science ... interviewed again ... still didn’t get the job.
I went to graduate school and graduated in 2019 with a Master of Science degree.
Then in 2020 Covid hit ... and I received a phone call ... I had been hired as a contractor.
Three years later I became an employee ... the rest is history.
I truly love that BCBST is a service-oriented company with a genuine focus on giving back to the community.
My focus EXCELLENCE
As a child, I would always strive for perfection. As an adult, I realize perfection shall never be attained.
Now my focus is on striving for excellence in everything I do. I fully believe every skill I have is a gift from God and should be shared to make others’ lives easier.
If I know how to do something, I am always willing to share that knowledge with others.
And if I don’t know how to do something and you need help with it; I am willing to learn how... in order to be of service.
I believe that everyone should be treated with kindness and respect from the janitor to the CEO.
